Past Activities

• A conference on Global Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Health in the 21st Century: Opportunities and Challenges for India to be a Global Player: Held from August 6-8, 2004, Hyatt Regency, Mumbai, India. About 200 participants took part in this meeting. We had participation from UNCTAD, National Law Schools, ICMR, Academic Institutions and industry (enclosed the brochure for your information).

• The Institute hosted a Career Development Workshop (resume writing, considering alternate career opportunities, etc.) for Life Sciences graduates in the month of March 2005, in Bangalore. About 100 graduates took part in this workshop.

• Global Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) for Pre-Clinical Testing, Compliance, Quality Assurance & Audit from August 18-20, 2005, at Atria Hotel, No. 1, Palace Road, Bangalore-560 001, India. At this meeting, we had FDA and other US speakers. We had about 100 participants from government laboratories including CSR and Defense, and industry (Biotech and Pharma) from all over India.

• A Technology Transfer Workshop in partnership with the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Government of India, New Delhi, was held on September 21 & 22, 2006, at National Law University, Bangalore

Future Activities

• Computer Systems Validation-July 31-August 1, 2007.
• A Certificate Course on Clinical Trials-August 2-17, 2007.
• A Clinical Data Management Course-will begin soon.
